Annmarie Garden is located in scenic Solomons on the Chesapeake Bay. The sculpture garden features a walking path that meanders through the forest, past sculptures including more than 30 works of art on loan from the Smithsonian Institution as well as hidden art. All ages will enjoy a variety of award-winning special events, gallery shows, engaging public art programs, the gift shop, the artLAB (to create) and the beautiful gardens.

This 100-acre ecological sanctuary includes the northernmost naturally occurring stand of bald cypress trees in America. A nature trail features an elevated boardwalk. The Nature Center houses live animals and exhibits. Classes, demonstrations, field trips and special programs are offered throughout the year. Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more.

Hike through this 1,460-acre wooded state park to the majestic Calvert Cliffs on the Chesapeake Bay. Formed over 15 million years ago, the cliffs contain more than 600 species of fossils. Ideal for hiking, picnicking, fishing and fossil hunting. Two-mile walk to the beach. Large tire playground. Information available for pavilion rentals, youth camping or hunting. The rich maritime history and diversity of life in the Chesapeake Bay come alive in the only museum on the East Coast that is home to two lighthouses. See skates and rays, models, paintings, wood carvings, aquariums, fossils and boats. Outdoor exhibits include a boat basin, river otter habitat and a recreated salt marsh. With six different facilities for events, the Calvert Marine Museum is the perfect place for anything. Say your vows aboard the Wm. B. Tennison or next to the Drum Point or Cove Point Lighthouses. The museum shares the story of the Chesapeake Beach Railway and Amusement Park in the early 20th century, including photos and artifacts. The museum building is the only surviving station from the old Railway and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Free admission.

Children's pool, activity pool, 12' floating gator, 12' floating snake, seashell slide, lazy river and slides for all ages. Free use of tubes. Great snack bar located inside the park. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult. All pools are heated during cooler weather. Call ahead to make reservations for groups of 25 or more, birthday parties and corporate picnics. No outside food or drink allowed in park.

Founded by zoologist Reginald Truitt in 1925 on land donated by the people of Solomons, this is the oldest state-supported marine laboratory on the East Coast. As a part of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, the lab allows visitors to experience the scientific atmosphere of the research facility, learn about the ecology and natural resources of the Chesapeake Bay and the important contributions made by scientists to our environmental heritage.
