Calvert County Comprehensive Plan Amendments Adopted The Calvert County Comprehensive Plan is the county's official policy document that sets forth a vision of the county's future. The plan serves as a guide for future planning to be implemented through local laws and public investments over the next 20 to 25 years.
The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. At the hearing, the Board listened to comments regarding the proposed amendments to the Calvert County Comprehensive Plan, adopted August 2019. Upon consideration of the comments and the recommendation of the Calvert County Planning Commission, the Board adopted the amendments. The adopted amendments reduced or eliminated the future expansions for the Huntingtown, Lusby, Prince Frederick, and Solomons Town Centers. The amendments became effective on December 9, 2022.
