Highway Maintenance
Division Overview The Highway Maintenance Division oversees the maintenance and care of the county's road network. This includes:
Conducting roadway line striping Cutting back roadside trees Maintaining over 900 lane miles to improve drainage, roadside shoulders, guardrails and road signage Mowing along roadsides Picking up litter Repairing potholes
Highway Maintenance also responds to all emergency and weather-related situations such as snow removal, fallen trees, and roadway flooding.
Our Mission To provide prompt and courteous customer service to the citizens of Calvert County and to keep the county road network safe and in good condition by using a preventive maintenance plan and responding to citizens' concerns.
