  1. RISE UP! A Teen Art Exhibit

    February 15, 2019 - April 14, 2019 @ Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center

    RISE UP! is a teen exhibition program that will showcase the talent, creativity, and perspective of today’s teens. Whether through visual artwork, digital, video, creative writing, spoken word, music, or other performing arts, the exhibit will include works that communicate what it means to be a teen in the world today. RISE UP! will include an online gallery, a juried gallery exhibit, and performance opportunities. These teens are going to RISE UP! and let their voices be heard!

    calvART is a cooperative gallery located in Prince Frederick, MD, and affiliated with the Arts Council of Calvert County. calvART is a showcase for artists from Southern Maryland and highlights work from a wide range of styles and media. Our artists excel in paintings, pottery, jewerly, sculpture, woodturning and photography. calvART highlights artwork by the Southern Maryland community and partners with community groups and organizations for its shows.   3. Earthen Oven Workshop

    April 7, 2019, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum (JPPM)

    If you want to dig in and get your hands dirty, then come help us build an oven! Learn how to take cheap local materials (sand, clay, and straw) And create an oven unlike any other. You can take the skills you learn with us to build your own pizza oven in your backyard!

  4. Annual Easter Festival

    April 7, 2019, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Northeast Community Center

    It will feature music, inflatables, balloon animals, face painting, super hero appearances and, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny. Activities include an egg hunt for ages 8 to 11 at 1:15 p.m., ages 5 to 7 at 1:45 p.m. and ages 2 to 4 at 2:15 p.m. Co-presenting the event are the Town of Chesapeake Beach and the Chesapeake Beach Water Park. In recognition of those affected by the fire, those attending may bring non-perishable food items and personal items as donations.
