  1. RISE UP! A Teen Art Exhibit

    February 15, 2019 - April 14, 2019 @ Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center

    RISE UP! is a teen exhibition program that will showcase the talent, creativity, and perspective of today’s teens. Whether through visual artwork, digital, video, creative writing, spoken word, music, or other performing arts, the exhibit will include works that communicate what it means to be a teen in the world today. RISE UP! will include an online gallery, a juried gallery exhibit, and performance opportunities. These teens are going to RISE UP! and let their voices be heard!

    This free program for Pre-K kids features stories that transport participants into the past!! In addition to reading a story, participants will join in on activities related to the story's setting.

  3. Sea Level Rise in Maryland: Preparing for future and current changes

    April 9, 2019, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Chesapeake Biological Laboratory

    Sea levels are rising globally with warming temperatures. Our state has been proactive in preparing for future sea level by requiring UMCES to submit a report on Maryland sea level projections every five years. Dr. Kilbourne, who collaborated on the December 2018 report, will explain the latest projections and the importance of citizens who understand STEM enough to prepare for changes to our environment that will happen in the near future, and prevent worse from happening to our children and grandchildren.
