  6. Dee of St. Mary's Public Sail @Calvert Marine Museum

    The museum offers 2-hour public sails aboard the historic vessel Dee of St. Mary’s. This is a great way to experience the Patuxent River aboard an iconic Chesapeake Bay Skipjack. The Dee of St. Mary’s is a sailing skipjack used in the museum’s Chesapeake Bay Field Lab programs. All sails depart from the CMM dock, weather permitting. Advance reservations are required by noon the Friday prior to the sail. On the day of your scheduled sail, please arrive 20 minutes early. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the Admissions Desk the day of the cruise.

    oin us for the 2020 Breezy Point Beach & Campground Blast-Off! Celebrate the end of the season with this family-friendly event. Dance the night away with music from DJ Keith Hicks, enjoy low-touch games and activities and cap the night off with a spectacular fireworks show. The free all-ages event is for Calvert County residents only and features something for every member of the family. Attendees must wear face masks when unable to socially distance from individuals outside of their group. No food vendors will be available and attendees are encouraged to bring their own picnics. No alcohol or glass containers will be permitted. Pre-registration is required and capacity will be limited to allow for social distancing. Wristbands will be issued to registrants upon entry to the park.
