    Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in Solomons, Maryland, is pleased to present a powerful new exhibit exploring images and experiences of woman in art, as creators, innovators, consumers, and subject matter. She: An Expression of Womanhood will run through September 27, 2020 in the Kay Daugherty Gallery. The juried exhibit features over 80 works from local and national artists. Themes. Images, and experiences are expressed in a variety of mediums, including, painting and drawing, fiber, assemblage, and sculpture.

  7. 23rd Annual American Legion Arick L. Lore Golf Tournament

    NEW DATE!!!! Join us for the 23rd Annual American Legion Arick L. Lore Post 274 Golf Tournament on Friday, September 4, 2020, at the Chesapeake Hills Golf Course. Registration begins at 8 a.m., shotgun start at 9 a.m. Captain's Choice, prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, and first, second and third place teams. Roast beef dinner at American Legion Post 274 immediately following tournament where prizes will be awarded, as well as door prizes, raffles and silent auction.

  10. Tennison River Cruise @ Calvert Marine Museum

    September 4, 2020, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Wm. B. Tennison

    Enjoy a leisurely hour on the river with a relaxing sightseeing cruise. You will sail the busy Solomons inner harbor, see Solomons Island and the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, pass underneath the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge and turn back at Pt. Patience and the Naval Recreation Center. Departures are from the Calvert Marine Museum dock. All cruises are weather permitting. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis and tickets will be available online and if seats are still available at the Admissions Desk. Maximum capacity is 20 persons. Accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities with reasonable notice. No strollers allowed. All passengers must wear a mask for this one hour cruise.
