This school year, join CMM for a virtual fieldtrip experience! The CMM Education Team has created FIVE new and unique programs for students K-5 to engage in activities focusing on paleontology, estuarine biology, and maritime history. Each program is available to public, private, and homeschool groups. You must complete registration for your requested virtual fieldtrip experience and we will send you the corresponding website link.

Come start the New Year by exploring the Red Trail or Orange Trail! Both lead to the Chesapeake Bay where views of the Calvert Cliffs are possible. Complete the hike to earn a sticker for your accomplishment. Pets on a leash are welcome! Please dress for the weather and activity and bring water. Admission into the park is free for all three days, and the Friends of Calvert Cliffs State Park will be accepting money and food donations for their First Day Food Drive.

An exhibit by the Studio Art Quilt Associates: Founded in 1989, SAQA now has over 3,600 members, including artists, teachers, collectors, gallery owners, curators, and corporate sponsors. Its mission is to promote art quilts and the artists who make them. Many artist, writers, musicians, and even scientists look to a “muse” as the source of their creativity or genius. Some artists find a muse by exploring their own innate creativity, while others seek experiences or stories to inspire. Works in this exhibition were created by members of SAQA’s DC, MD, and WV region, each working with their own unique muses.

Sign up for our virtual class, pick up your supplies from our studio, take home and paint with our artist from your computer / tablet or smart TV.
