  2. Native Skills Camp

    July 12, 2021, 9:00 AM - July 16, 2021, 4:00 PM @ Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum (JPPM)

    During this camp we will make shelters, build fires, and learn about different native tools such as rabbit sticks, bows, fire drills, and pottery. Campers will also learn about, and try, a variety of cooking methods including boiling water without a pot, baking without an oven, and how to make the perfect s’more.

  3. River Runners Summer Camp

    July 12, 2021, 9:00 AM - July 16, 2021, 3:00 PM @ Various Locations throughout Calvert County

    For children entering grades 6-8 in Fall 2021. Each day of this camp will bring campers up-close and personal with the Patuxent River and the creeks that flow into it. Campers will learn paddling fundamentals: safety, strokes, and rescues - as well as learning firsthand about water quality and the natural history of the river. Locations will vary by day.

  4. Outdoor Family Clay Dates: Bobblehead Dragons

    July 16, 2021, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM @ Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center

    Join us outside in the park and make a family clay masterpiece! Work together to create a bobblehead dragon or other creature to display in your room! Use slab, coil, and pinch techniques and colorful underglazes to make your creature unique. These outdoor clay classes are small-group, socially-distanced experiences with individual kits. A fun and low risk way to spend time together!

  5. River Cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison

    July 16, 2021, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Wm. B. Tennison

    Enjoy a one hour cruise on the river with a relaxing sightseeing cruise. On your cruise, you will cruise the busy Solomons inner harbor, see Solomons Island and the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, pass underneath the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge and turn back at Pt. Patience and the Naval Recreation Center. Departures are from the Calvert Marine Museum dock. All cruises are weather permitting. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the Admissions Desk. Maximum capacity is 20 persons. Accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities with reasonable notice. No strollers allowed. All passengers must wear a mask for this one hour cruise.

  7. IMAGINARIUM - I Love the 80s Bash!

    This event is for the WHOLE FAMILY! We will be blasting some of our favorite 80s tunes, dancing, and of course the kids can play on the Imaginarium playground!   8. Dee of St. Mary's Public Sail - Adults Only

    Take an evening sail on the Dee of St. Mary’s. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverage; select your choice of sandwich at registration. BYOB optional. Preregister by noon on the Wednesday prior to each cruise.
