  2. Nature Photography Camp

    July 19, 2021, 9:00 AM - July 23, 2021, 3:00 PM @ Various locations throughout Calvert County by day.

    For children entering grades 4-6 in fall 2021. Campers will capture the natural wonders of Calvert County Parks on camera. In addition to fun camp activities, they will learn camera basics and picture-taking tips. After camp on Friday, families are invited to a presentation highlighting campers’ work. Campers must provide their own digital camera.

We will learn not only about natural features but also how the environment has shaped the lifestyle of the people calling the land home for thousands of years. Prepare to get messy and explore the Patuxent Shoreline.

  4. Summertime Blues

    Join a CMM educator on the historic William B. Tennison for a hands-on blue crab educational experience. This youth field program uses live blue crabs to illustrate their life cycle and how to identify male and female crabs. For ages 8-12. Capacity is limited. $20 program fee includes child participant and one adult chaperone. Registration is required.

  5. Outdoor ArtLAB: CD Case Luminaries

    Missing the artLAB? Join us outside for a lightly guided upcycled art project! We'll guide 10 family groups through a step by step project, while being properly distanced, outdoors, and providing individual tool kits to eliminate shared materials. A great way to customize your family visit to Annmarie. Pack a picnic, search for fairy houses, and stay and play afterwards. Family groups can choose to work on one project together or purchase additional project kits so everyone works on their own. An adult must participate with children.

  6. River Cruises on the Wm. B. Tennison

    Enjoy a one hour cruise on the river with a relaxing sightseeing cruise. On your cruise, you will cruise the busy Solomons inner harbor, see Solomons Island and the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, pass underneath the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge and turn back at Pt. Patience and the Naval Recreation Center. Departures are from the Calvert Marine Museum dock. All cruises are weather permitting. Tickets are available for purchase online and at the Admissions Desk. Maximum capacity is 20 persons. Accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities with reasonable notice. No strollers allowed. All passengers must wear a mask for this one hour cruise.

  7. Pints and Pups at JPPM!

    On the fourth Friday of the month, JPPM brings back a re-imagined version of our wildly popular Tavern Night! Our Pints and Pups series will feature the ever-popular sea shanty performers the Chanteymen, a variety of food vendors and offer tastings from local breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Each month a local animal shelter will be onsite with pets available for adoption.
