  4. ACLT's 12 Hikes in '22 Challenge-Let's Do It Again!

    Take one hike each month every month in 2022 on the ACLT trails and win some really cool prizes! Not to mention all the great benefits to your physical and mental health and well-being! It's free to participate. Every time you visit the ACLT trails, use the QR code located at all trailheads to ensure your hike is counted. All adults who complete the challenge will win ACLT merchandise. Choose from water bottles, knit hates, gaiters, mugs or baseball hats. Children will receive free ACLT decals and stickers.

  5. North Beach Farmer's Market 2022 Season

    We are pleased to continue our traditional, small-town atmosphere farmers' market for the 2022 season! The farmers' market season will be from May 7 through October 22 and will be held on Saturday mornings from 8 am to 12 pm in the parking lot of the North Beach Senior Center. The market will include local vendors with items such as plants, farm vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses, eggs and other fresh goods. The Town of North Beach encourages all guests to HELP REDUCE WASTE by bringing your own bag and using the appropriate disposal containers provided at the market.

  8. Public Archaeology at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum

    Every year, volunteers are given the opportunity to see what it is like to be an archaeologist and excavate an actual site, through our Public Archaeology Program. You can help us dig and screen for artifacts in the field or wash objects at the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab. Each day offers opportunities for those who want more than just digging. You can come as often as you want – an hour, a day, the entire month! It’s a fun way for the whole family to learn about the past. Who knows what great discoveries await you? Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. There is no fee, but space is limited and registration is mandatory.

    The Stars and Stripes festival is a annual festival sponsored by the Town of Chesapeake Beach. The Town strives to educate the public and youth as to the meaning of Memorial Day through this weekend long Memorial Day outreach. Every year brings a new theme for the event and new additions to increase awareness of those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country, our Citizens and our Freedom. At 10:00 am, the Town's Annual Ceremony to honor and remember military men and women that we have lost while serving our country. At 1:00, join us at Kellam's Field for our Family Fun Day - "The Great American Picnic" with live music, delicious food, sweet treats and more.

  10. JPPM Guided Hiking Tour

    Nearly 70 archaeological sites document a remarkable and varied history that goes back thousands of years at JPPM. Through this special guided hike, visitors can learn about the 9,000 years of human history uncovered by the archaeology carried out on the park. Please note this is an approximately 2-hour, 2.5 mile hike on various surfaces/elevations, and can be strenuous for new hikers. Dress comfortably and bring plenty of water, as there are no fountains along hike. Groups will meet at the upper parking lot directly across from the Visitor Center. In the event of rain, tours will be cancelled.
