Come frolic in the Fairy Lolly and explore our magical village of fairy houses and gnome homes, each lovingly created by children.

Take one hike each month every month in 2022 on the ACLT trails and win some really cool prizes! Not to mention all the great benefits to your physical and mental health and well-being! It's free to participate. Every time you visit the ACLT trails, use the QR code located at all trailheads to ensure your hike is counted. All adults who complete the challenge will win ACLT merchandise. Choose from water bottles, knit hates, gaiters, mugs or baseball hats. Children will receive free ACLT decals and stickers.

Come explore this charming outdoor exhibit of more than 75 handmade houses scattered throughout the trails and woods of the garden. Made by wonderfully creative artists from the community (and beyond), this exhibit features works in all media.

We are pleased to continue our traditional, small-town atmosphere farmers' market for the 2022 season! The farmers' market season will be from May 7 through October 22 and will be held on Saturday mornings from 8 am to 12 pm in the parking lot of the North Beach Senior Center. The market will include local vendors with items such as plants, farm vegetables, baked goods, meats, cheeses, eggs and other fresh goods. The Town of North Beach encourages all guests to HELP REDUCE WASTE by bringing your own bag and using the appropriate disposal containers provided at the market.

Buying local is easy with an abundance of fresh food from Calvert County’s farmers, agri-businesses and watermen. Calvert County’s weekly farmers markets return with early harvests ready for sale. Late spring markets include bedding plants (vegetables, herbs and flowers), hanging baskets, tasty salad greens, asparagus, kale and strawberries; selections will vary by market. Visit your favorite vendors from last year and find exciting new offerings at each market.

Come and explore the fossils at Cove Point. Learn more about fossils: where to find them, how to identify them, what they can tell us about the past. This program is for adults and children 8 and older, accompanied by an adult. Preregistration required at least two business days before the program.

Learn to use round reed or vines to create a gently rounded basket with a pleasing shape. The many variations of weave which use round materials are called wicker weave. In this workshop we will learn the triple weave and how to finish your basket with a closed border. Appropriate for ages 13 and up.

The annual Juneteeth Community Day Celebration sponsored by NACCP of Calvert County. Join us for an afternoon of celebration with music, food and exhibitors for all.

Relax and enjoy a leisurely one-hour sightseeing cruise on the river aboard the Wm. B. Tennison, a log-built bugeye. Capacity allows for 40 guests. If there is inclement weather, you will be notified by the crew prior to the cruise.

Come see the beautiful landscape that charmed Mr. Patterson so much he had to make it his home, and discover some hidden African American history along the way. This is a 1.5 mile walk of easy to moderate difficulty.

Join us for a fun after-hours event at Scorpion on Saturday, June 18th with comedian, Zack Hammond (the only guy who was actually funny last time around!) as he returns to Scorpion Brewing with a brand new act. $15 tickets can be purchased online through eventbrite (with NO fees) or they can be purchased at Scorpion Brewing the night of. (if they aren't sold out by then).
